Bushveld Bivouac

A fully serviced, off-the-grid, boutique bush camp on an easily accessible private reserve between Hoedspruit and Phalaborwa in South Africa.

Whether guests decide on the Luxury Tented Suites, the Trails Camp or The Retreat cottage, Bushveld Bivouac’s aim is to ensure that a stay is an exceptional treat for the soul: relaxing, recharging and inspiring all at once.

The property is home to a wide range of plains game from zebra, giraffe and antelope to porcupine, caracal, civet, serval and occasionally leopard and hyena that wander through the reserve.

Whether it’s a romantic sunset safari followed by a private dinner on The Lookout Deck, or a tranquil morning bush walk leading to a scenic picnic spot, each experience is designed to immerse you in the serenity of the reserve. Explore the network of beautiful walking trails or opt to mountain- or e-bike on the gravel roads; take a book and something to drink and head for The Hide at the waterhole to watch the (animal) world go by, or see how many of the bird calls you can identify.

Bushveld Bivouac has both self-catering and full board options. Each suite has a fully equipped kitchen and DIY breakfast, tea and dinner baskets are available. Children of all ages welcome.
